The Brief

A Grade II-listed mansion in Westminster, some 30,000 sq ft, was being returned to use as a single private residence, restored to one of the finest homes in London. We were engaged to deliver the intelligence behind it: a building management system, HVAC controls integrated with smart-home technology, capable of running a home of this complexity without ever being seen. The controls had to sit invisibly within protected heritage fabric, bring a wide range of systems under one roof, and hold to a demanding multi-trade fit-out programme

What We Delivered

We designed, installed and commissioned a fully integrated BMS bringing heating, cooling, ventilation and plant control together with the wider smart-home environment onto a single platform. Every element was coordinated with the heritage restoration so that cabling and devices were concealed within the listed fabric, with no visual impact on the reinstated Lutyens rooms. Working alongside the design team, main contractor and mechanical contractor, we sequenced our installation around the wider works and held our commissioning to the standard a residence of this calibre demands.

The Result

Occupants now control the property via simple, beautiful and intuitive interfaces. Plant runs efficiently and the interiors hold a stable, comfortable environment throughout, while the protected heritage remains untouched. The system was handed over reliably, on programme, and to the exacting standard the project set out to achieve.
