Who we are

This website, www.imperium.uk (the “Site”), is operated by Imperium Building Systems Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 09159302) with its registered office at 19 Pound Street, Carshalton, Surrey, SM5 3PG. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this notice.

The information we collect

Enquiry form. If you send us an enquiry through the Site we collect your name, email address, the service you are interested in and your message, so that we can respond to you. If you tick the box asking to receive occasional updates from Imperium, we record that choice too.

Site security. To protect the enquiry form from abuse, we hold a one-way, anonymised fingerprint derived from your internet (IP) address alongside your enquiry for a short period. It cannot be turned back into your IP address, and it changes every day, so it cannot be used to track you over time.

Server logs. Like almost every website, the systems that deliver the Site process IP addresses and related technical information transiently in order to serve pages and to detect and block attacks.

Analytics. We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) to understand, in aggregate, which pages are visited. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not track you across other websites.

How we use it, and our lawful bases

Responding to your enquiry. We use your details to reply and to discuss your project. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in responding to an enquiry you have chosen to make.

Occasional updates. We will only send you marketing or news if you have ticked the box asking for it. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by contacting us at hello@imperium.uk.

Security and abuse prevention. Rate limiting, spam filtering and attack detection. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in keeping the Site and our systems secure.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Cookies

The public Site does not use tracking, advertising or analytics cookies, which is why you will not see a cookie banner. The only cookies the Site can set are strictly necessary ones used by our own staff to sign in to the content management system and preview unpublished pages — they are never set for ordinary visitors. The enquiry form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which verifies you are human without setting cookies.

Who processes information for us

We use a small number of carefully chosen service providers to run the Site. They process personal information only on our instructions:

Vercel. Hosts and delivers the Site. Vercel is a US company; transfers are safeguarded by UK-approved mechanisms (the UK Addendum / International Data Transfer Agreement).

Supabase. Stores our website database, including enquiries, in London, United Kingdom.

Resend. Delivers the email notification we receive when you send an enquiry.

Cloudflare. Provides the Turnstile security check on the enquiry form.

EmailOctopus — operates the mailing list for our occasional updates. Your details only reach it if you tick the box on the enquiry form, and every email we send through it includes an unsubscribe link. EmailOctopus is a UK company.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we are dealing with them and, where an enquiry leads to a project, for the life of that relationship. We periodically review and delete enquiries that are no longer needed. A record of marketing consent is kept until you withdraw it. The anonymised security fingerprint described above is only meaningful for the day it is created.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
• ask us to correct information that is wrong;
• ask us to delete your information;
• ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our using it;
• receive the information you gave us in a portable format; and
• withdraw consent at any time, where consent is our basis for using it.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@imperium.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, although we would welcome the chance to resolve any concern with you first.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time, for example if the Site or the services we use change. The current version, with its effective date, will always be published on this page.
