Audio Visual questions
What does audio-visual integration include?
Audio-visual integration covers the design and installation of sound and video throughout a property, and connecting it to the wider control system so it is simple to use. This commonly includes multi-room music, television distribution, dedicated home cinema or media rooms, and outdoor audio, all operated through the same interfaces as lighting, blinds and climate. The aim is high performance that stays discreet and easy to live with.
Can I have music and video in every room?
Yes. A multi-room system can deliver music and video to as many rooms as you wish, with independent control in each space, so different people can listen to or watch different things at once. What suits each room, from discreet ceiling speakers to a full cinema, is decided during design around how you use the space. Planning cabling and speaker positions early gives the best result and the cleanest finish.
Will the AV system be hidden, or will I see speakers and screens?
That is a design choice, and on design-led projects the usual aim is to keep equipment discreet or concealed. Speakers can be flush-fitted or hidden behind finishes, screens can be recessed or motorised out of sight, and equipment is kept in a dedicated location, so the technology is present without dominating the room. This is coordinated closely with the architect and interior designer.
Can the home cinema or media room be controlled with everything else?
Yes. A cinema or media room can be integrated with the wider system so a single command sets the screen, sound, lighting and blinds for watching, and returns the room to normal afterwards. Bringing it into the same control interface means it behaves as part of the home rather than a separate set of remotes. Designing this in early ensures the room performs well acoustically and visually.
